American Bar
American Bar
The American Bar is the longest surviving cocktail bar in London and one of the most renowned in the world.
Serving classics with a twist, new and vintage creations – the American Bar is an icon in cocktail history and has played host to legendary bartenders – historic figures such as Harry Craddock, author of The Savoy Cocktail Book, and Ada 'Coley' Coleman.
The American Bar first opened in 1893 and has since served countless well-known faces, from Winston Churchill to Ernest Hemingway. It remains at the forefront of the industry, winning World's Best Bar at Tales of the Cocktail Spirited Awards 2018 and World's 50 Best Bars 2017.
Our newest menu, The Savoy: American Bar Journal has been created by Head Bartender, Chelsie Bailey and her talented team. Using interesting techniques to create contemporary interpretations of classic cocktails, the menu commemorates moments in time, logged in liquid form, celebrating the past, present and future of bartending at The Savoy.
